Accessibility Statement

Effective date: August 1, 2026

Community Voices Project is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe the communities we serve should be able to reach us regardless of how they access the web.

Our Commitment

We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. This is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time fix, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.

What We've Done
  • Used our website platform's (Wix) built-in accessibility tools, including automated structure and contrast checks

  • Structured page content with clear headings and a logical reading order, so the site works with screen readers

  • Written descriptive text for images and visual elements

  • Maintained sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds

  • Made sure the site can be navigated using a keyboard, not just a mouse

  • Limited motion effects that could cause discomfort for some visitors

  • Written form labels clearly, so it's clear what information is being asked for in our submission form

Known Limitations

No website is perfectly accessible, and we're not aware of every gap. Some things to be aware of:

  • Portions of this site rely on our website platform (Wix), and third-party elements or embedded content beyond our direct control may not fully meet the same standard

  • We're a small, newly launched organization — some accessibility improvements are ongoing rather than complete

We're actively working to address issues as they're identified.

Feedback

If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. We take this feedback seriously and will do our best to address the issue promptly.

Email: team@communityvoicesproject.com

When you contact us, it helps to include:

  • The web address (URL) of the page you had trouble with

  • A description of the issue you encountered

  • The device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using (if known)

Alternative Access

If you're unable to access information or complete the "Share Your Story" form on this website due to a disability, you can share your story with us directly by contacting us at team@communityvoicesproject.org and we'll help you submit it another way.

Changes to This Statement

We'll update this statement as our accessibility efforts continue. The "Effective date" above reflects the most recent version.
